Venue Information

The University of Nottingham is a world-class Russell Group and TEF Gold university, ranked in the top 1% globally. An inspiring place of learning and scholarship, it is also one of Britain’s leading research universities, with 97% of its research recognised internationally and ranked 8th in the UK.

Opened in 1881 as a civic college, Nottingham has award-winning campuses in its home city, China and Malaysia. It can claim DH Lawrence as its most famous graduate, 2 Nobel winners amongst its alumni and staff, and Albert Einstein, Mahatma Gandhi and HG Wells amongst its most notable visiting lecturers.

Remaining at the heart of the University’s global strategy today is the 1928 vision first realised by Sir Jesse Boot (of Boots the Chemist and University benefactor) – core values built on "ambition, engagement, partnership, civic responsibility and longevity".
